What is my life going to be?
Four years of college and plenty of knowledge
Have earned me this useless degree.

The Scritchy One actually found a job with a big financial corp. Even more surprising - the advertisement stated "English majors preferred". Our eyes just about dropped out of our heads when we saw that one!
It turns out the big corp had discovered over time that business majors couldn't write, and neither could their $10/hour flunkies. So they hired a small group of English majors to correspond with big clients in a way that wouldn't make them a laughing stock when intelligent people with millions in the bank got letters back.
We were shocked, too, but it's worked out quite well for us!
I'll be interested to see the outcome for you; because that's a question I've asked myself a thousand times, and I still don't have an answer. LOL.
